Justin’s Testimony

I was saved at a young age (6 years old) after my dad was cured of cancer. It was through reading
the Gospel of John with my father that I began to understand the Good News and the grace of
God. I placed my faith fully on Christ knowing that no works and no righteousness of my own
could make holy in God’s sight. My sin could only be forgiven through the blood of Christ. From
that moment on, I have trusted Jesus as my righteous and as my Savior. When I was twelve, I was
called into ministry for purpose of proclaiming the Gospel and building up local churches through
preaching of God’s word. In his grace, God has called to minister as a youth pastor, a missionary,
and now a pastor. I know that it is only by grace through faith that we are saved, and I live
knowing that my God is sovereign and that his purpose will be accomplished!

Rachel’s Testimony

I was raised in a Christian home where my parents took us to church all the time and tried to teach us regularly about the gospel. My father was a youth minister when I was younger and began to teach my sister and I many things he taught his youth including the importance of having a personal relationship with Christ. I was also in AWANAS, a program that helps kids memorize scripture in a fun way. At age seven, I was learning scripture about Jesus’ resurrection and I didn’t understand what the meaning of the scripture was so my dad helped me. The scripture was 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 and he helped understand that the death, burial and resurrection of Christ was foretold from the very beginning of time. He explained to me how important it was to have a personal relationship with Christ and that is the only way to Heaven. That night I asked Jesus to be the Lord of my life. The next few years I began to learn more about Christ and his promises for me. At age 13, my church went through a huge split and it really shook my family and my faith in Christ. I really struggled for a long time with my self-worth and identity in Christ because of what happened, but God is good and he restored my relationship with him. I began to help in a leadership role in our youth group at our new church because there were not many students there. The Lord taught me a lot about serving others and the importance of being a leader. God called me at 17 years old into the ministry to do whatever he asked of me. When I went to college I was able to help in the BCM with the International students and learn more about cultures and how to love many different people. I went to China with our BCM and enjoyed the people there. I met Justin and we decided as a couple after we would get married we would move to China as missionaries. We were there for over 2 years and the Lord taught me so much about his people, the gospel and how to share in a variety of ways. I know that the Lord is going to continue to teach me and use me for his kingdom.
